Krama

Ted.  Judy loves Siem Reap and I love my krama. It’s a simple gingham cotton scarf that is the national symbol of Cambodia (per Wikipedia). I think it’s perfect for tramping around old temples in 100 degree heat.

It is like a big cotton dish towel that soaks up the sweat and wipes the dust off your face. In a pinch it can cover your bald spot when you have to cross a sunny field. The ladies in Cambodia wear them many different ways (google "krama images"). They even carry babies in them. Guys just seem to wear them around their necks. They are much better than a bandanna and mine will now become standard hiking gear.

And just for the record - I love Siem Reap too!
