Ted. Life is
what happens while you’re busy making other plans.
Our plan
We would leave Missoula on
Monday morning, July 30 and begin a long leisurely 2,400 mile drive back to
Atlanta. We would drive through Teton National Park and visit Bryan and Annette (the parents of our friend Brett) who live nearby. We would then stop in Denver, Colorado for a few days to help
my father and our grandniece Evelyn celebrate their birthdays. Next, we would
relax in Memphis with more family for a couple days. We would arrive in Atlanta on
August 10, one week before our next planned family event.
Life
The family event got moved up
to an undetermined date. We did manage to stop briefly for lunch with Bryan and
Annette but then drove like mad to Denver where Judy hopped on a plane on the
morning of August 3 to fly back to Atlanta. After a brief hug to all my family
in the Denver area, I headed back out on the highway and drove back to Atlanta
as fast as I could, arriving on Monday, August 5.
So what caused us to change
our plans?
